How do I change the orientation of a BEAM188 element when I have generated the element directly (i.e. without using lines or LATT command)?

The EMODIF command can be used to modify directly-generated elements’ nodal connectivity or attributes. You can use the EMODIF command to change the orientation of a BEAM188 element even if you do not have lines associated with it. Simply create the orientation node and then use the EMODIF command and include the orientation node when redefining the nodes on the beam. The attached input file demonstrates this.
