Ansys Discovery in addition to its direct modeling capabilities consists of great features under Assembly tool that can help you create single part orientation or multi-part assembly. In this video series we will see how it’s very easy to implement it in your workflow for creating assembly conditions.

Assembly tools can be accessed from the Design Tab in Discovery interface, and it consists of various options like Orient, Align, Tangent, Anchor, Gear or Rigid for creating the assembly condition.

      Assembly options: Single part orientation

In this tutorial, we will see how you can orient a single part with respect to the world origin. We will be using the assembly tools – align and orient to do so.

      Assembly options: Multi-part assembly

In this video we will see how you can assemble components in an Assembly. We will see how you can anchor a component, use align tool to align other components to the anchored part, either using faces of the geometry with or without the offset or using planes.
