      When handling velocity macros in Fluent, both the superficial velocity and physical velocity takes the effect of porosity on the medium into account. If you want to access to the velocity at a specific cell within the porous media in the UDF, the choice of the velocity setting in the boundary conditions pane will determine what is returned by the macro.
