FAQ
ParticipantSubD Modelling in Ansys Discovery allows for powerful freeform control and editing of modeling surfaces, making it suitable for conceptual modeling, form exploration, and product design concepts.
The convert region to SubD in Discovery enables you to convert specific regions of solid geometry into subdivision surfaces for more organic modifications. In the following video, we will explore this feature and how you can convert selected faces into SubD surfaces. We will also demonstrate how to perform organic modifications like moving ribs and creating bridges that would not be possible with regular solid geometry.
