Can a mass flow outlet be used for a Fourier Transform Transient Blade Row simulation?

Generally, mass flow boundary conditions should be avoided when using the FT-TBR method as it makes the solution unstable. This is because the periodics have defined mass flows due to phase shifting. Additionally, most transient cases will not have a constant mass flow rate and imposing one would be non-physical. The use of static pressure for outlet boundary conditions is preferred over mass flow outlets. Similarly, using a total pressure inlet boundary condition is preferred over a mass flow inlet.
