      ELBOW290 doesn’t use Flexibility factor and Stress intensity factor. ELBOW290 does not rely on the calculation of pre-integrated section properties like beam and pipe elements. Its formulation is similar to a cylindrical shell model. This way the element can account for general section deformations like ovalization, non-uniform radial expansion, etc.
