Bi-directional CAD connectivity in Ansys Discovery allows for seamless integration and interaction between CAD systems and Ansys Discovery. This feature enables you to change parameters in the CAD system directly from Discovery, and those changes are reflected back in the CAD system. For example, if you are using Inventor or NX, any parameter changes made in Discovery will be updated in the CAD system as well.
This connectivity ensures that geometry, name selections, parameters, and other metadata are transferred directly to Discovery, allowing for operations like history tracking and parameter tracking. This means you can modify geometry in Discovery and have those modifications reflected back in the CAD system, supporting a bi-directional connection.
