      Ansys ensures upwards compatibility, but not downwards compatibility. For example, a project saved in V18.0 can be opened with any V18.x version (and further releases), but cannot be opened with V17.X. The only way to open a V18.0 file is to have an Ansys release equal to, or upper than, the V18.0 version.
