ANSYS SpaceClaim: When working on a sketch, if I zoom in a useful amount, the sketch lines disappear, visually. They are still present because they highlight when the mouse is over them. And I see them all when I zoom out. Do I need to adjust a graphics setting?

This definitely sounds like a graphics issue. There are several options you can adjust. All of them are in File > SpaceClaim Options. 1. Popular > Render Quality 2. Popular > Anti-aliasing (usually controls jagged appearance of straight lines being shown at an angle) 3. Advanced > Renderer (Direct3D9 is the default) 4. You could try upgrading the graphics drivers on your PC’s graphics card These are the most likely to yield some result.
