SolutionParticipantThe goal of this example is to identify the Narcissus effect in a thermal camera operating in the infrared spectrum. The Narcissus effect occurs when a detector inside an infrared system sees a reflection of itself, resulting in a dark spot in the center of the image. Additionally, radiation reflected from each surface of the optical system also returns to the detector, affecting the image quality of the system. Therefore, studying this effect using Ansys Speos software is of interest, as it enables the visualization of the resulting image and the contribution of each optical component to the image quality, essential for the design of these type of optical devices.
