Basically the surface mesh count is different for duplciate case. You can check this by Mesh –> Preview –> Surface mesh. It looks like this is expected as the geometry may have very curved surfaces. While meshing mesher applies smoothening and mesh improvement. Due to these curved surfaces and smoothening applied, you will get slight difference in the surface mesh. So subsequently the cell count would be slightly different.
