How to Set “Non-Model” Property to an Object in 3D Layout

      The geometry is the collection of all the objects drawn in the 3D Modeler. Since non-model objects are drawn in the geometry they affect what is visibly seen or included in the modeler. They, however, do not affect the simulation as they are ignored by the mesher. The S-parameter results and far-field patters are not affected by non-model objects either. Users can use non-model object to see what would happen to the result should the object be removed without having to physically delete the object from the model. They can also be used for post-processing purposes like plotting a field quantity along a line or a field overlay over a surface. To employ this feature, the user should follow the steps below. Select the object, then Draw > HFSS 3D Layout Properties > Add Modeling Under Modeling Props > uncheck “Modeled”
