We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

Trying to compile UDFs for Fluent 14.5 and older with the Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Express Edition Compiler and I get an nmake error. ‘nmake’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Express Edition Compiler is not officially supported. In order to compiler UDFs using this compiler you will need to download a modified udf.bat file. It is attached to this Solution called udf-batch-file-fixed-for-2012. 1. Download the modified batch file. 2. In C:Program FilesANSYS Incv145fluentntbinwin64 rename the original udf.bat to original-udf.bat. Replace it with the one downloaded and rename the downloaded file, udf.bat to the same directory.
