Some customers may have both ANSYS HPC and ANSYS HPC Pack licenses, they run Fluent jobs on Linux cluster through Fluent launcher, job scheduler script or RSM, they may want to force lower core count jobs (e.g. less than 12 cores) to check out ANSYS HPC only, and higher core count jobs (e.g. 12 or more cores) to check out ANSYS HPC Packs only.

      Both ANSYSLI_LPF environment variable and -feature_parallel_preferred= Fluent command line flag can force a Fluent job to check out anshpc or anshpc_pack license. Attached PDF is an example of setting -feature_parallel_preferred= flag in Fluent internal script.
