The following description applies to Fluent versions before 18.0. Starting with Fluent 18.0, the steps are done automatically when loading a case. In Fluent, there is a function that improves computational performance of the solver. During calculation, it will read the nodes, faces, and cells that are stored in the main memory more efficiently. To use it, go to Grid->Reorder->Domain. Afterwards, the following message will appear: >>Reordering domain using Reverse Cuthill-Mckee method: zones, cell, faces, done. Bandwidth reduction = 809/21 = 38.52 Done. The larger the mesh size, the more effective reordering the domain will be. After the operation, be sure to save a new case file and data file.
