      Answer: 1) Use a local installation as opposed to running the application from a network share. 2) Disable news feed by launching Ensight with the following flag: ensight102 -no_news 3) Disable Usage Feedback: ensight102 -usage_feedback_never 4) Rebuild preferences: ensight102 -no_prefs
