Answer: In rare cases when a network drive is used as a home drive home path, (due to reasons not yet completely understood) there can be issues starting FLUENT or Icepak. As a workaround please try using a 3 line batch file like the below to start FLUENT standalone and Workbench. The batch files can be saved to a preferred location or the desktop and be double clicked on to launch FLUENT or Workbench using an alternate location for HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH. This example uses D drive and ANSYS_Startup as an example set HOMEDRIVE=D: set HOMEPATH=ANSYS_Startup “C:Program FilesANSYS Incv195fluentntbinwin64fluent.exe” -r19.5.0 -shortcut set HOMEDRIVE=D: set HOMEPATH=ANSYS_Startup “C:Program FilesANSYS Incv195FrameworkbinWin64runwb2.exe”.
