      The net mass flow rate of a species at an inlet boundary includes contributions from both convection and diffusion. The convection component is determined from your input of species concentration while the diffusion component is calculated by FLUENT, as long the option “Inlet Diffusion” is on in the “Species Transport” panel. From version 15 on, the option “Inlet Diffusion” is deactivated by default.
