Forum ModeratorTranslated: I'm a beginner who started using ANSYS Workbench. Therefore, an amplitude of 50 μm is given to the surface 1 of the tip of the titanium cylindrical rod at a frequency of 20 kHz. The other side, side 2, is heated at about 600°C. At that time, I would like to know how much amplitude surface 2 has. I would like you to teach me so that even beginners who have started using it can understand as much as possible. Best regards.

Forum ModeratorHi,
You can perform a transient thermal analysis and then link the transient thermal analysis to transient structural analysis. In transient thermal analysis heat the other side at about 600°C and in transient structural analysis define the displacement load to surface 1 using a harmonic function for displacement like: 50*sin(20000*time).
