SubscriberDear Ansys Team,
I have two surfaces. On the bottom side the surface has values which are above the recommended values for the Near-Wall Model. On the top, I do have the necessary y+ values for the Near-Wall Model. Is Fluent using the Near-Wall Model when possible, or is it always using the same model?
Kind regards and thank you for your help.

But if I haven't chosen a wall function, will it just use the Near-Wall Model, even if the y+ values are too high?

Forum ModeratorIf the near wall mesh is too coarse you'll just revert towards the far field turbulence values so you'll lose near wall accuracy. Check the manuals and Learning on here for a better explanation.Â
