Hi there, I've been trying to run this varFDTD program from the optics launcher, but every time I try to run it the program crashes before it's able to complete the optimization. I haven't changed any of the values and have been following the steps here, and I have been monitoring my memory usage but it doesn't seem to be the issue. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to prevent this, or if there is another Lumerical example that does something similar? Thank you so much!

Hello Meagan,Â
Can you please sepecify at which step the program is crashing?
Thanks and regards

Hi Devika, it crashes at a different spot each time with no consistency. I've attempted to run a similar y-junction program, the inverse design, and it is crashing in the same way also at different spots. For some reason, the 3D FDTD runs fine without crashing but I cannot get the 2.5D varFDTD to complete an optimization run. I have also tried running the varFDTD ring resonator example, and the program crashes when trying to run both the nested parameter sweep and the Monte Carlo analysis. However, I have created a straight waveguide file to test the varFDTD solver, and it was able to complete a regular parameter sweep of y_span vs T. Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
