Hello:
Regarding meshing in Workbench, from the Solution>Worksheet, the element type information gives some surface and/or contact elements although those are nowhere used in the model. Even the element count from the Mesh Statistics does not include those surface and contact elements. But, the worksheet summary indicates a certain number of surface and contact elements.
Why does this happen?
Thank you.

Hi
For example:
Some boundary conditions are appled internally by Constaint Equations usually in the form of MPC elements.
Weak Springs are appled by COMBIN elements.

Thank you for your reply.
As I understand, these additional elements (surface/contact/combination, etc.) are not used in the analysis to solve and compute the results. Is this correct?
