SubscriberHi all, I was modeling an 3D
PMSM with concentrated winding configuration (AA' C'C BB' A'A CC' B'B). I had simulated the similar winding configuration multiple times and the configuration was successfully validated each time.
But from today evening, when I'm trying this configuration for a new model, It is showing validation error, and this error is now coming in all my old models which were simulated successfully earlier.

Ansys EmployeePlease check that in the excitation setup you have Windings and inside each one you have the corresponding Coil Terminals. If this is not the case:
- §To create a Winding, go to Maxwell 3D / Excitations / Add Winding.
- §To assign coil terminals to these windings, do RMB on the created winding (visible under excitations on the right site tree) and select Add Terminals.. Then select all the coil terminals linked to this winding.
Repeat this process for the different windings.
I hope this helps you.

SubscriberThanks for your reply, The soultion provided is a basic procedure, I had done several times and executed it successfully.
The problem is all of a sudden from 2 days back the winding configutaiton is showing error, even in my old maxwell models which ran successfully.Â
Looking for a possible soultion to this error.

Ansys EmployeeIf the setup is correctly done, were any modifications made to your machine? Please try cleaning the solution data before running the validation. If this doesn't resolve the issue, kindly open a support ticket in the Ansys Customer Case System (https://customer.ansys.com) so we can examine the issue in more detail.

SubscriberI hadn't changed anything related to windings. But made changes to rotor material.
For example, I opened one of my old maxwell file and did only winding validation, winding path was validated successfully. Later, I cleared all the previous solutions and tried to run complete simulation, the winding error is poping up. Attaching the image for your reference.

Ansys EmployeeHi Sai,
We need to look at the model and do some tests. It is not usual that a model that was working has this error by only changing the material in a different object (in this case, the rotor). Please open a support ticket in the Ansys Customer Case System (https://customer.ansys.com) so we can examine the model and help you efficiently.
