SubscriberI am using ANSYS Fluent for a 2D simulation. How can the wind speed be changed in the model? I found the wind reference, but I could not find the wind speed or the height-dependent wind speed profile. Thank youÂ

SubscriberGo to your inlet boundary and change the value in the momentum tab. In the Tree -> Setup -> Boundary Conditions -> Inlet -> whatever you have named the inlet BC. Double-click and the first tab that is open should be the momentum tab.

Forum ModeratorAh, you mean how do you set the profile, as opposed to a constant? Have a look at "profile files" and Expressions. You need to tell Fluent what the profile is, there's not a pre-coded function in the core solver.Â
As a hint, you're looking for the Atmospheric Boundary Layer profile, and I think the bulk of the work is by Hoxey. We (Fluent/Ansys/Synopsys) have a UDF from about 2002 but I can't share that on the Forum.Â
