SubscriberHello Experts,
I am an engineering student and am trying to learn/use ANSYS and would appreciate any guidance you give me.
My goal is to model a 3D building to see the force distributed by wind. For example, I would like to change the wind speed for the different hurricane categories to see how it affects the force on the building. Which ANSYS software/settings would be best for this? I was thinking about using ANSYS Fluent, do you have any good articles on this type of design? Â Thank You!!

Forum ModeratorYou can, and I'd use Fluent. However, with storm and higher wind speed the fluctuating component can become very significant so getting a single speed/force value may not be possible. I've run models on more common wind speeds, and I know there are articles in literature; I don't have any references to share.Â
