SubscriberInexplicably, certain bodies within my model become invisible or transparent when I'm working in Geometry in Mechanical. If I turn on "Show Mesh", or go to Mesh, the body becomes visible. I can click in the empty space where the body should be and view its properties, and I can run jobs and get expected results, and see the body in Results, so the body is still there - it's simply not visible under certain situations.
I can confirm that under Graphics Properties for this body, Visible = Yes, and Transparency = 1, and the body is not suppressed.
This has happened to me in the past as well, on a different version of Ansys, in a completely different model. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this occurs or how to fix it.
Any ideas? Many thanks,
PS: I've erased some of the body names in the screenshots for security purposes.

SubscriberI have also come across this a few times. Do you also get an aqua/blue rectangle in the depth picker? (bottom left corner of graphics window)
Seems to be a bug specific to assembly models, where a geometry change has occured in an upstream system. I have been able to get it to go away after a subsequent model update, but I don't know what specifically causes it or what specifically makes it go away. Seems to be harmless to the application and FE model.

Ansys EmployeeHello mscal,
Thanks for your response.
Which version of Ansys you are using where this issue is happening?
