SubscriberHi everyone,
I’m working on a custom UDF and realized I need the UserMat package. I found the download page here:
https://ftp.lstc.com/objects/download_page.htmlHowever, I only see packages for CentOS—there’s no Ubuntu version listed. Does anyone know where I can get the UserMat package built for Ubuntu? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Amrith -

Ansys EmployeeHi, we don't have separate packages for Ubuntu. I think the current package should work. Please see this document for supported versions (https://www.ansys.com/content/dam/release/2025-r1/platform-support/ansys-2025-r1-platform-support-by-application.pdf).Â

SubscriberHi everyone,
Our university IT department mentioned that the UserMat packages are designed for CentOS and won’t run on Ubuntu. Just to clarify, I have LS-DYNA installed on my Ubuntu system, but I need to build a custom material model using a UDF. According to the manual, I require the UserMat package, which contains the files necessary to compile my UDF (I’ve attached a screenshot showing these files).

However, the UserMat packages on the official download page are only available for CentOS—not Ubuntu. Does anyone know how to obtain or build the UserMat package for Ubuntu?

Thanks,
Amrith
