SubscriberDear all expertnI cannot find the formula of skin friction coefficient Cf, for crossflow cylinder. I need that formula to calculate the yplus to determine 1st thickness distance from wall for inflation layer.. Most I found is given skin friction coefficient (Cf) for flate plate and internal pipe flow formula. My geometry is cylinder with external flow (air) and turbulent flow. Please help me is you know about this..nnThanks a lotsnnRegards,nnLINAn -

Forum Moderatory+ is a derived term to help estimate the near wall cell height. It's not a precise calculation as it also relies on you knowing the near wall flow velocity: if you know that there's no need for a CFD calculation! If you use a flat plate correlation then use adaption how inaccurate do you think you'd be? n
