HI!
I implemented a transient analysis in Ansys Mechanical with a contact nonlinearity (a frictionless contact) between surfaces. A time-dependent nodal displacement is given and the time deformation of the structure is evaluated. When solving the nonlinear problem does Ansys use interactive methods for convergence (Newton Raphson or similar)? Is technical documentation available on this matter?

A: Yes, it uses NR method for nonlinear problems.
