SubscriberSometimes when I check the simulation results in Q3D, I see negative self-inductance, mutual inductance, resistance, and capacitance values. Can anyone explain what is the meaning of those negative values?Â

Ansys EmployeeI'm not as savvy with Q3D as opposed to other tools, but it is not uncommon to have negative mutual resistance and inductance terms. Often that is just a function of current directionality. Negative self terms does sound more problematic, however. Can you share more about the setup that produced this result? If you are a full customer, I would recommend putting in a support ticket so that we can follow up in greater detail.Â
