Hello,
I was wondering what does exactly the central frequency of operation for a PIN photodiode element in INTERCONNECT mean? What are the quantities/parameters that are calculated relative to the central frequency? In general how does it affect the behaviour of the PIN PID?
Another subquestion, the responsivity of the PIN PD imported from a table of measurements is the spectral responsivity, and not the electrical reponsivity, right?
Thank you,
Metodi

Hi Metodi Belchovski,
Thank you for the post. The central frequency doesn't really affect the PD responsivity since the frequency dependency of responsivity is defined in the user defined table. The responsivity is based on the input optical signal power.Â
