I am getting negative torque for EESM 3D simulation in Maxwell.  How to rectify ?

hi, could you provide more information of your machine? is this a synchronous machine?

      Hello DELI,

yes , we are using Externally excited synchronous machine(EESM). Initially, we simulate the model using- maxwell 2D. Now we are trying to compute same machine using 3D with same excitation patterm, same current values, same advance angle. in 2D i am getting positive torque, but in 3d i am getting negative torque for the same operating point condition

There might be some difference between 2D and 3D model, could you check the current direction, rotation direction and rotating axis?

      Hello Deli,

Thanks for the reply. I have one more doubt. How to calculate the initial position angle of EESM.  Is it similar to PMSM machine or different one
