Dear Experts,
I want to apply a time domain pulse source in the order of nanosecond or femtosecond duration (100 ns or 100 fs) to the input of a waveguide and to study it's delay characteristics. Is there any way to produce such sources in FDTD? Can we produce it using some program codes? Any kind of support will be highly appreciated.I will look forward to a response.

Thanks and regards,

You can either use the default source pulse or create your own: https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034383114-Creating-a-custom-source-time-signal-for-an-FDTD-sourceÂ
example:

But for the waveguide delay, you can accurately use FDE to get:Â
