Warning: “Outlines on High Priority Represent Faces Are Not Preserved Well”

      Hi,

I'm running a parametric sweep, by rotating a probe around a central horn antenna as shown below.

However, when I kick-off a simulation run, I see the following warning message.

I'm not too sure what the issue is, and there are no more details about the warning that I could find. Can someone please help me out with this?

      Thank you,

      Shyam

      Hello Shyam,

We appreciate your reaching out to Ansys Learning Forum.

This warning leans towards the geometry/mesh nature of the structure. Please, make sure that there are no illegal intersections between conductive or dielectric materials and also please make sure that boundary condictions are well defined. View Mesh Feedback could potentially help you extract more specific information about this kind of warning.

Also, a general advice that might interests you; I am not 100% aware of what you are trying to succeed but FEBI boundary condition seem to be the best fit for this kind of simulation.

      Warm regards,
      Jason.

      Hi Jason,

I was able to resolve the issue after re-examining the geometry. It turns out my 2nd waveport was completely covered by a PEC on one side (which is necessary), but also partially covered by a PEC on the other side. Once I changed this the warning went away.

      Thank you,

      Shyam
