SubscriberHi there,
Â
I would like to find out if it is possible to integrate ANSYS electrical tools with a virtual reality application. For example being able to visualize simulation results, graphs, charts and/or animations on a VR headset.Â
I saw there is an ANSYS python API- would that be sufficient for this use case?
Â
please let me know

Ansys EmployeeHello Andrew,
Inside of AEDT, modeler views and reports can be exported as .wrl files - which are an extension of the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) format. I will confess that I don't have access to a VR headset myself so I have not tested this. If nothing else, here are a couple of links from our help system (login required) that go over how to export a modeler view or a report, where .wrl is an option:
https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/Electronics/v241/en/home.htm%23../Subsystems/HFSS/Content/Variables/ExportingGraphicsFiles.htm?Highlight=virtual%20reality
https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/Electronics/v241/en/home.htm%23../Subsystems/HFSS/Content/ReportsandPostProc/ExportingReportsasGraphics.htm
I can't comment on what is availble through the python API, but I do suggest you check out that website (PyAnsys | Ansys Developer Portal) and check what might be available.ÂBest regards,
-Dan
