SubscriberHello,
Firstly, I am posting here because my school gave me full license of ANSYS but I do not have an account associated with it which I can use to contact the paid support line.
Bit of an in the weeds question. I need to find text commands that will allow me to make the type of mesh around an object using the mosaic-enabled poly-hexcore algorithm that is outlined in this link.
https://www.ansys.com/blog/how-to-use-parallel-processing-to-generate-3d-mesh-for-cfd-on-hpc
As the forum title suggests, I am submitting my job to my schools HPC and therefore do not have access to this function through the GUI but through text commands written in the journal file. Looking for an explanation on how to do this or a direction to the relevant documentation. The webpage I linked talks about the advantages but only shows how to do this through the UI.
Â
Second Question: Even if I were to use the UI it is unclear how to access "volume meshing task" and "enable parallel meshing which is located most of the way down the page that I have linked. Could you please give some more insight here aswell?
Thank you,
Tim

AdministratorRegarding your first question - I'd recommend that you take a look at the Fluent Text Command list. Here is the link. You should be able to look into the commands necessary in the meshing mode.

Here is some information regarding your second question. You should find everything about parallel meshing in the Fluent Users Guide.
If you are looking for how to access this link, here are the instructions.

I hope this helps.

SubscriberHello,
Thanks for this. I have a follow up question. When I try to launch fluent the launcher on my machine to play around with the text commands using a GUI, it says it is (Setting Edit Only) and I do not have the option to go into meshing mode. How do I pull up the full launcher? Screenshot attached
Thank you,
Tim
