SubscriberHi,
I am trying to determine the coupling coefficient between a bus waveguide and a resonator, and I have a clarification question about the user-s matrix. Is the transmission value returned (e.g. S12) equal to the transmission coefficient or do you have to square it to obtain the actual transmission coefficient?
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeIn general, S12 is the complex amplitude transmission coefficient, and abs(S12)^2 is the power transmission. Please review your own definition of "transmission coefficient".
