SubscriberHi everyone,
I'm encountering  persistent errors when trying to analyze my model in ANSYS HFSS:
[error] Seeding mesh, process mesh3d : Unexpected internal software error. Please contact Ansys technical support.
[error] Solving adaptive frequency ..., process hf3d error: Matrix solver exception: file I/O failure. Please contact Ansys technical support.
This message started appearing after I introduced a small non-modal "mesh box" (40mm x 60mm x 40mm) into the model. Inside this box, I assigned a length-based mesh operation, restricting element length to 1mm. My initial mesh settings are otherwise at default.
My 3D model is a digital twin of a moisture sensor. I'm running an Optimetrics simulation where a small conductive ball moves to 12 different positions within this mesh box, around the sensor.  I'm trying to calculate the impedance of the model at 1 MHz and 100 MHz.
Here are my system specifications and what I've tried:
- RAM: 128 GB (95% limit set in HFSS)
- Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K @ 3.00 GHz
- OS: Windows 11
- Storage: C: 1TB (149GB free), D: 4TB (1.67TB free)
- Cores tried: Varied from 4 to 16, without success.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this problem would be immensely appreciated. This is an urgent project, and any help before the weekend would be extremely beneficial.
Bojan
