Hi, 

I recently got access to a group research license through my lab. However, everyone else in the lab is able to run up to 16 cores, while I am only able to run 4 cores. I suspect they have access to an HPC pack. How can I check if I have access to the same HPC licensing and activate it if not?

Hello, Open Ansys Licensing Settings > Features in use. 

Check if there are increments 'anshpc' or 'anshpc_pack' displayed in the output. If you see them, you should be able to access HPC capability if the increments are not in use by anyone else.

could it be that your colleagues are using the HPC licenses and thus you have no HPC licenses left to run with more than 4 cores ? you can try running whenusage is lower to see if that is the case.

other reasons could be tat the license server administrator has restricted your login or computer from accessing the HPC licenses. please check with your license server administrator
