I was unable to perform bolt pretension on my ansys and i have explored many methods but cant work at all. Is there any one out there that is capable of solving this problem, your help means a lot to me.

the solution information keep showing "

input satisfies the pretension section definition requirements.

THE PRETENSION LOAD WAS NOT ABLE TO BE APPLIED.  MAKE SURE THE LOAD
WAS NOT APPLIED TO A HOLE AND THAT THE LOAD IS NOT APPLIED MORE THAN
       ONCE PER SURFACE.

      Hi,

It seems the issue lies with the geometry to which the load is being applied.

Same issue was reported earlier in the below links

What is the cause of following warning message?: "The pretension load was not able to be applied. Make sure the load was not applied to a hole and that the load is not applied more than once per surface." - Ansys Knowledge

Please make sure the pretension is being applied to cylindrical part.

      Thanks

      Hi,

May be you have not applied the pretension load correctly on the model.
