Unable to open workbench

      Everytime I try to open wokrbench, the program crashes and I receiev the error message below.  Any advice on how to fix this?

      Tried changing the region as I saw this worked for a lot of people in other threads, but it is still not wokring and I am receiving the same error message...

      I have also tried clearing the app data multiple times and this has not had any effect

      Hi,

      Check your install.err file.


      Please try the following the methods:

      Change the PATH System Variable to make sure that C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;… entries are in front of everything else.
      Like:  PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;…all other entries...

      Manually register the DLLs listed below by starting a Command Prompt (DOS) "as administrator" and changing to the directory c:\windows\system32, then typing:

      regsvr32.exe ole32.dll
      regsvr32.exe atl.dll
      regsvr32.exe oleaut32.dll
      regsvr32.exe scrrun.dll
      regsvr32.exe jscript.dll
      regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll

      Rename .ansys from %TEMP% to old.ansys (just type: %TEMP% in the address bar)

      Run the ProductConfig.exe from C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\v2xx  and configure the application again, by right-clicking the productconfig.exe file and select "Run as Administrator", selecting all options. Make sure you run this as administrator and install all the prerequisites.


      Please ty to set the machine language to "English (UK)", and restart the machine. About Windows 10: Open the Windows 10 control panel In the control panel search box, type region Choose the Region link, which should have appeared.

      If this does not resolve the problem, we need to check the file size for the downloaded files. It might be that the downloaded files are corrupted, and you may need to download them again and reinstall ANSYS from scratch.
