Two-way FSI simulation

I have been doing two-way FSI simulation for leaflet valve motion. I am facing issue of highly distorted solid element near the corners. What are the possible solutions for this case?

I am using smoothing and remeshing for handling dynamic motion of tetrahetral mesh.

      Hello,

can you show how you have set up your Dynamic Mesh zones?

I have tried both diffusive-based and spring-based smoothing. Remeshing is performed based on length scale and skewness of local cell.

Can you try adding at least 3 elements in the thickness of the solid region? Also try and see how the default of Unified Remeshing works before switching to Methods-Based Remeshing.

I tried with a refined mesh, but the issue still persists.

Hi Swapnil, Your deformation values seems small so you shouldnt see high distortion. Your deformation result might be autoscaled. If you change the scale to 1 somewhere at the top menu, you should be fine. I've had this problem in the past with my FSI and thought I was doing something wrong.

Hi Emmanuel, thank you for your response. The error showing "high distortion in solid element" pops up in initial iterations itself. Therefore simulation is not complete.
