SubscriberHello, I am currently researching on a project and found out about the FSI benchmarking on the Turek-Hron. I have found published papers on this study to try to recreate the results and validate them but, am unable to make the wall deform and oscilate back and forth like it should be according to the benchmarking already done. I would really appreciate someones help on this matter. I have attached some screenshots of the geometry, meshing, named selections, and simulation results that I am getting at the moment.Â

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Are you trying this FSI study with intrinsic FSI model available in Fluent or Fluent-Mechanical coupling?
Regarding wall deformation and oscillation, please check your dynamic mesh inputs. Allow the wall to receive the displacement and fluid domain to deform as per the deformation of wall. Please refer to the FSI tutorials available here: Reed Valve FSI Co-Simulation with Partial Setup Export from Workbench (Fluent-Mechanical) (ansys.com), Chapter 27: Modeling One-Way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) Within Fluent (ansys.com) and Chapter 28: Modeling Two-Way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) Within Fluent (ansys.com).
Hope this helps!
