SubscriberHi all,
I am trying to simulate Fluid Structure Interactions on ANSYS with fluent, transient structural and system coupling. My model is set to simulate flutter - a bar of aluminum passing through multiple sections of airfoils (to induce flexibility) and a weight at the top to add inertia. Everything is good until I update the solution in the system coupling module. the error comes from the transient structure solver and the error is: "Participant solution encountered a fatal error: Message: The value of UZ at node 84 is 1.4259873E+12. This is greater than the current limit of 1000000.This generally indicates rigid body motion with an unconstrained model." I have gone back to the structural module and double checked everything: the support, the contacts (all of them are "Bonded" contacts). I have attached pictures and the model (.zip file) below for clarity. I would really appreciate your help.

Forum ModeratorHi,
Ansys employees cannot download and inspect the model. Did you check node #84 - to which body does that node belong? Please see if there is a slight gap between parts or check if the displaacment is applied in X, Y and Z-directions.

Forum ModeratorHi,
It would be difficult to comment without looking into the model. Please wait for other forum members to comment.
