      Dear all,

I have a doubt, I have his data as indicated below.

      Time step: ?t = 5e-5 s  Simulation time: 30 periods of the jet (T)  Number of time step / T: 200

I need the period T to simulated a periodic function in Fluent. What do you think, in both pictures?

      How large is the period?

      Dear Amine,

The size of the period depends on the frequency which varies between 30 and 100

So for 30 Hz you have 1/30=0.033 . In order to solve that perior you will require at least 20 time steps á 0.016 .

What shall I do now with the function? Just calculate the period of time require for your frequency and then try to resolve that period. With next student release you will be able to output directly the frequency or the period. (2019R1)
