SubscriberHello,
I've set up a chart to show the velocity profile along a curve in Discovery Live. This feature is already very useful, but according to my experience, when this calculator is exported, we get only a 2D array containing location-velocity data pairs.
I'm mostly interested in the time dependent characteristics (namely the turbulence intensity profile) of the velocity field at this location. Is it possible to export the time series somehow?
The data file ideally would contain the following columns:
Location   t=0   t=t1   t=t2   t=t3 …
x0 Â Â Â Â Â Â Â v00 Â Â v01 Â Â v02 Â Â v03 Â ...
x1 Â Â Â Â Â Â Â v10 Â Â v11 Â Â v12 Â Â v13 Â ...
x2        v20   v21   v22   v23  …
…
Therefore the temporal evolution of the velocity profile (from t=0 to t=ti) could be followed.
If it is not feasible currently, I'm open to any other solutions as well, such as export of poinwise time series, or exporting the said profile regularly. Is it possible to automatize this process, for example exporting the profile in every 0.1 seconds?
Thanks,
Bálint

The newly added feature of Properties along a curve can be exported at any particular time point only. Though manual export at different time points is a possibility but might not be very convenient to do especially when the number of time points at which the data is needed are high.
Also, user can right click on chart and select "start a new series" to compare the charts simultaneously at two or more time points but only graphically.
Unfortunately, in the current scenario and in the absence of scripting, there doesn't seem to be a better way to export the transient behavior. However, I understand the value this feature would bring in and would request you to please post this requirement in ideas section.
