Thermal resistance Icepak

Can I extract the thermal resitance and capacitance from Icepak after defining the geometry and material? So that the result would be a thermal network?

      Thank you.

      Hi ,
Just to double check, do you mean like a R C network for transient cases like a Foster or Cauver network ? Do you have some sort of an explicit CAD geometry of the package with all the parts and materials ?

Hi I mean Foster and Cauver networks. I have an explicit CAD geometry with all parts and materials. I want to extract the Foster or Cauver network from this geometry.
      Thanks

Hi Unfortunately, there isnt a direct feature or macro to extract the R C networks from the geometry currently in Icepak. However, Icepak and Twin Builder / Simplorer can be used to perform the large number of trials and simulations needed for curve fitting required for the R C network creation.

There are two options that might be what you'd need, both listed under the post processing macros.

Path... Macros: Post Processing: Export CSV Reports

      1. Network Objects
      2. Network Blocks
