Hi,Â
I'm 99% certain this isn't possible in Discovery but just wanted to check.Â
If I have done a steady state Thermal analysis or CHT study on an enclosure such as below which would show the temperature of the unit when it is switched on.Â
It isn't possible to then do a transient simulation showing how this unit would cool when switched off. E.g the Heat sink may be at 50c but the antennas may be at 30c and I would like to see how this cools down over time?
I believe currently you can only have one uniform temperature of the part or assembly and then see how this cools.
Could this be added as an enhancement to themal analysis?
Thank you,

Hi Subashni,Â
Thanks for the response, yes I am aware of the transient thermal. It was weather you are able to set different boundary conditions such as different temperatures and see how the assembly cools.Â
E.g the heat sink would start at 100c and the antenna would be 50c and I would like to see how this cools over 20 seconds. I don't believe this is possible but please correct me if I am wrong.Â
Best Regards,
