I use a smooth channel with periodic boundary conditions on side walls to simulate the flow between infinite flat plates. According to theory, the pressure drop is caused by friction without any other factors, so the two should be equal. However, no matter what turbulence model is used or how the grid is increased, the pressure drop friction coefficient calculated is always only 5/6 of the surface friction coefficient. I would like to know how to solve this problem?
