SubscriberHello. I want to use the Bolt Thread function, but I have some questions. In your requirements it is write " The diameter of the solid model (bolt and nut bodies) should be based on the major diameter (d)". so if I simulate the behaviour of an M10 screw, the diameter of my screw should be 10mm and so should the tapped hole. That's correct.
And an another question:
In my case, I'm simulating an M10 screw with a pitch of 100. so d2 = D2 = 9.188. and is this value what you call the "Mean Pitch Diameter? Can you confirm this for me?
Thnak in adavance for your reply. Philippe.

Ansys EmployeeYes, the solid model should be based on the major diameter. The Mean Pitch Diameter value you selected is correct. -
